The design, installation, and use of the VAR Modular Workshop System (MWS) concept may raise a number of questions.
Below, you will find the most frequently asked questions.

Before unpacking, we recommend carefully inspecting your pallets and cardboard packaging.

Any deformation, anomaly, or crease on the packaging should be noted in as much detail as possible. These claims must be submitted to the carrier within 3 working days by registered mail, in accordance with Article L133-3 of the French Commercial Code.

Find here our delivery guide.

After unpacking, carefully check each component of your assembly.

Remember to turn the boxes containing your base units upside down to make unpacking easier!

You can find the dimensions of all our components in the product datasheets and in the 3D configurator.

Wood worktops are 40mm thick, and stainless steel worktops are 38mm thick.

Floor cabinets come pre-assembled and are ready to install. Only the corner unit and wall cabinets need to be assembled by yourself. An assembly guide is provided.

VAR tip : before opening your box, turn it over and open it from the bottom. The packaging box is lighter than the unit! This will allow you to install the adjustable feet without having to turn the unit over again.

Each floor cabinet requires 4 adjustable feet (MO-52071). Only the corner cabinet requires 5 (MO-52055).

The adjustable feet are simply screwed into the threaded inserts located at the base of each unit.

The adjustable feet allow you to raise and level the base units with a range of 2 to 5 cm.

All hardware required to assemble your MWS configuration is supplied in each floor cabinet or wall cabinet.

Good news: the base units are self-supporting!
You do not need to attach your panels to the walls; the uprights connect both the units to each other and to the base units.

The uprights are attached to the back of the base units using 4 threaded inserts per base unit.
Each base unit can accommodate 2 single uprights or 2 double uprights.
Double uprights allow you to connect 2 base units and 2 panels together.

Yes, 2 single uprights can replace 1 double upright. However, we recommend using single uprights only at the ends of your configuration and to connect corner panels to the corner unit.

Additionally, double uprights are drilled to allow the passage of an electrical extension or compressed air line, for example.

Worktops are attached to the floor cabinets using the threaded inserts located underneath the worktops.
We recommend removing the first 3 drawers to have free access to the threaded inserts.

Wall cabinets are attached to the panels using the 4 threaded inserts on each panel. The necessary hardware is provided in each wall cabinet.

VAR tip : After removing the wall cabinet from its box, use the packaging as temporary support while securing the cabinet. The width of the box corresponds to the installation height of the wall cabinet.

We recommend that the corner cabinet and double cabinet be installed by two people.

Each wall cabinet can support a maximum load of 15 kg.

We recommend installing anti-fatigue mats before installing the MWS furniture units. These mats will therefore be placed under the base units.

Each floor mat has 2 male and 2 female edges for easy and quick assembly.
You can use a mallet to speed up the joining of the mats.

The mats are made of rubber, making them easy to meet your needs.

Since every workshop configuration is unique, borders are sold separately.
For one mat, 4 borders are required: 2 male and 2 female.

The borders improve the movement of wheeled objects and can also be used to define work zones with a color scheme.

Each base unit comes with its own set of 2 locking keys.

To accommodate all situations, the doors of the single-door wall cabinets, the corner unit, and the large 7-drawer unit can open left or right.
Simply lift the hinges vertically and flip the door.

We recommend using a microfiber cloth with a little isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface of wooden worktops.

Our professional vises can be mounted on the base units of the VAR MWS system. Be sure to select the screws taking into account the thickness of the worktop (40mm) and the base height of the vise.

Usually, a vise is installed “by hand” at the edge of the worktop. A left-handed user will install it on the left, while a right-handed user will install it on the right.

We recommend fixing your vise at one end of the configuration or on a bench structure. The corner unit is also suitable for mounting a professional vise.

MO-52220 bench structures are delivered "to be assembled by the user" without a worktop.
The package includes 5 pieces and 1 bag of screws: the two legs, the horizontal crossbar, the vertical upright, and the worktop support.

We recommend using the "2-piece" wooden worktops (length 1361mm).
Wooden worktops must be adapted to the bench structures with drilling done by the user.

Stainless steel worktops can also be used, with a "2-piece" length (1361mm), with drilling also to be done by the user.
